Requirements for Active Membership
Membership in the Academy is by invitation only and will require a
Proposer as well as a Sponsor. PDF Application forms are available
on this site as a download, which after being completed should be faxed to
the Admissions Chairperson.
(a) The Applicant should be a qualified dental
practitioner having maintained a license to practice dentistry from
a recognized regulatory body or be a full-time educator in an
accredited institution for a period of at least one year before
being eligible for proposal to Active membership;
(b) The Applicant should be recognized in the dental profession as
being a
Practitioner of restorative and/or prosthetic dentistry or as being
a full time educator of restorative and/or prosthetic dentistry;
(c) The Applicant should be willing to render their best efforts to
stimulate
progress in their profession;
(d) The Applicant should be willing to promote the best interests of
dentistry and
The Academy;
(e) The Applicant should have attended one scientific meeting as a
guest;
(f) The Applicant should possess the potential for achieving the
qualifications of
a Fellowship member including making a clinical essay, or case
presentation to the Academy or a committee thereof.
