Topic:
The next dimension in
implant aesthetics: an architectural plan and vision
for success
Conventional concepts
in aesthetic restorative treatment generally focus
on modifying tooth form and colour. Today, it is
unquestionably recognized that the interplay with
the surrounding gingival framework plays an equally
important role in the aesthetic outcome of
treatment. An understanding of how to control the
tissue architecture around conventional and implant
restorations is a key element to a successful
aesthetic outcome.
This presentation will focus on the following key
factors to idealize the aesthetic outcome of implant
treatment:
- Minimally invasive surgical
techniques for implant placement.
- Improving hard and soft tissue
stability through implant positioning, design and
abutment timing.
- Soft tissue management to
ensure long-term tissue stability.
- Provisionalization to refine
the soft tissue form.
